Welcome to Treverbyn 2020
Hello and welcome to the first every Treverbyn blog post! To coincide with the launch of our new website we thought we would introduce a blog – tips for your stay, latest news and all things Treverbyn.
What better way to kick start our new blog than by introducing team Treverbyn 2020! For those who have stayed with us previously you will all know at the heart of Treverbyn in Gary – owner, bookings co-ordinator, head gardener, breakfast chef, maintenance manager and jam maker extraordinaire, there is not much Gary can’t do! Gary bought Treverbyn 37 years ago in 1983. After extensive renovations (another blog post on this coming soon!) he welcomed his first guests in 1990. Since then Treverbyn has flourished, and Gary has welcomed thousands of guests into his home and seen plenty of returning customers, many of whom have become friends over the years. As well as being king of Bed and Breakfast, Gary is a keen walker and has completed all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path. He also loves gardening and cycling and is an avid Arsenal supporter and cricket fan.
A long standing member of the team is Charlie, returning for her 9th season at Treverbyn. Charlie first began working for Gary’s daughter Emma at Treverbyn’s sister bed and breakfast, Treann House when she was just 22. Charlie loves cooking breakfast and likes nothing more than chatting with the guests about places to visit in the area. In her spare time Charlie can be found at the beach, walking the coastal path or doing yoga. She is also a keener knitter and baker.
Despite the season starting a little later than planned this year we’re ready and raring to go! We will be adhering to government guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all our guests. We look forward to welcoming guests old and new, and being able to share our beautiful spot on the Cornish Coast with you all. We can’t wait to see you and here’s to a great season ahead!
